Post Workout - The Green Monster Smoothie

After a great workout you may find yourself wondering, "now what can I eat or drink?" This is a great post-workout snack that will re-energize & keep you filled for hours. The taste of the banana and the peanut butter cover the taste of the spinach completely. I freeze my bananas and spinach then prepackage everything for the week! Substitutions include rice or nut milks or vanilla yogurt. Here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup fat-free milk (I use soymilk)
½ cup fat-free plain (I use soy yogurt or sometimes omit this ingredient)
yogurt
1 banana, frozen and
chunked
1 tablespoon natural
peanut butter
2 cups fresh spinach
1 cup ice cubes
(Optional)
Directions:
Blend milk, yogurt, banana, peanut butter, spinach and ice cubes until smooth.

382 calories; protein 23.6g; carbohydrates 55.7g; fat
9.4g; cholesterol 7.4mg; sodium 328mg.
