It's Summer! You haven't reached your workout goals...Oh No! What to do?
Well, here are a few things NOT to do. These are a few common mistakes to avoid. Not just in the summertime but all year long.
Tip#1 Hydration starts before you hit the gym! Don't just wait until you're thirsty to drink fluids. Making sure your body is properly hydrated is an all day effort. When your fluid levels are low, fatigue can set in and you won't be able to perform at optimal capacity.
Tip#2 Pay attention to WHEN you workout. The hours between 10am - 3pm are normally the hottest time of the day. The best time to workout is the morning and when temperatures are cooling in the evening.
Tip#3 Wear proper workout clothing! Make sure your colors are light. That keeps you cooler longer. Choose breathable synthetics that wick away sweat and keep you cool. Try to avoid 100 percent cotton (gets heavy with sweat) and nylon (stink holding) fabrics.
