Goodbye winter with your cold, bitter and unpredictable weather. Many of us used you as the excuse for not getting our workout in, but now spring is here!
Hello spring! The excuses for being too cold to workout are now fading. We welcome you with your beautiful displays of nature, sunshine, warmer weather and longer daylight hours!
Springing forward into fitness can start off with small changes.
Here are three tips to help you establish good habits to prepare your body for a new fitness routine:
Get Moving - at work you can take the stairs instead of the elevator or take the "long way" around your house when doing chores.
Get good night's sleep - poor sleeping habits can sabotage your workout efforts and results. Try to establish a consistent bed time and stick to it every night.
Fuel your body - at work instead of skipping lunch or going out, bring a packed healthy lunch and snacks. It will save you time and keep you on the right track so that you can have more energy to stay active throughout your day.
